LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanic – Caerphilly Area

Location: Caerphilly and surrounding areas

Salary: £38 (apply online only) – £45 (apply online only)

Hours: Alternate shifts – 6 am to 2 pm / 13:30 pm to 10 pm

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Join a busy, modern commercial vehicle workshop near Caerphilly as an experienced LCV Technician. You\’ll work a rotating shift pattern with excellent overtime rates for Saturdays. This role offers ongoing training and progression working on a wide range of light commercial vehicles, including the latest electric models.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on light commercial vehicles

  • Use computer‑aided diagnostic tools (training available if required)
  • Follow health and safety standards and workshop procedures
  • Communicate clearly and work effectively with the team

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience working as an LCV Technician or Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills
  • Good knowledge of LCV repairs and servicing
  • Attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
  • Willingness to learn and train on latest technologies including electric vehicles

Desirable

  • Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g. IMI, City & Guilds)
  • Experience working in main dealer or commercial fleet environments
