Location: Basingstoke

Salary: £18.00 to £22.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications

Shift: Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 3.30 pm

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are recruiting reliable Level 3 HGV Technicians to join a busy workshop working to manufacturer and industry standards with clear training and career progression.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician:

  • Perform servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards
  • Diagnose defects and faults accurately and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth workshop workflow and meet daily targets
  • Use workshop systems to record work progress and parts used clearly and promptly
  • Follow company and dealer processes and procedures and highlight opportunities for improvement
  • Take part in training to maintain and develop technical skills and knowledge
  • Maintain a safe clean workspace and adhere to health and safety requirements

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician:

Essential:

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician
  • Level 3 heavy vehicle qualification
  • Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • Positive can do attitude and strong teamwork ethic
  • Clear communicator who records work accurately

Desirable:

  • HGV driving licence preferable
