We are recruiting for skilled HGV Technicians to join a leading commercial vehicle dealership operating within a global manufacturer network. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician to work within a modern workshop environment with strong investment in training, EV technology, and career development.
As part of a growing night shift team, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring maximum uptime for customers and supporting a busy and expanding operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to main dealer standards
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair work
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and safety standards
- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
- Work efficiently to support workshop productivity targets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
- Experience with computer aided diagnostics
- Ability to work night shifts independently
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Main dealer experience
- IRTEC accreditation
