We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician to join a busy and award-winning workshop in Erith. In this role, you will carry out high-quality servicing, repairs, and inspections on HGVs and trailers to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy, safe, and compliant. You'll also have access to excellent manufacturer training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and other vehicles
- Completing regular servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance
- Maintaining accurate service records and completing all required paperwork
- Supporting breakdown repairs when required
- Keeping the workshop safe, clean, and well stocked
Skills and Qualifications
- Essential Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician
- Ability to identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable Experience with diagnostics, electrical systems, and advanced repair work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
