If you have experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles, this role offers the chance to work with modern diagnostic equipment in a well equipped workshop where quality workmanship is valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
- Inspect vehicles and prepare them for MOT testing
- Repair and replace vehicle components as required
- Complete all work to manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
- Work closely with the workshop team to maximise vehicle uptime
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- Experience within a dealership or commercial vehicle workshop
- Manufacturer training or accreditation
