About the Role
Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a hands-on, varied role in a growing workshop in Trafford Park? This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and motivated team offering up to £35,692 per year with an OTE of £39,261. Full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Bodybuilder or Assembly Technician who takes pride in building high quality work from the ground up. What You Will Be Doing
- Working independently using your own initiative to meet targets and quality standards
- Reading engineering drawings and working effectively from work orders as an experienced Mechanical Fitter
- Installing insulated panels onto commercial vehicle bodies
- Carrying out electrical terminations including lighting, switches and tail lifts
- Sealing joints, floors and roofs using silicone and gel coatings
- Cutting metals, woods and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment
- Using hand tools, bench saws and measurement equipment safely as a Vehicle Bodybuilder
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas
- Working in line with all health and safety, quality and compliance procedures
