We are currently working with an established Facilities Management Group, turning over in excess of Β£150m, seeking an outgoing Financial Controller. The company specialises in a number of disciplines crucial to the maintenance and management of a variety of commercial spaces (nationwide), typically non-residential. The group has shown an appetite for acquisition resulting in consistent growth, a wider offering and increased self-dependence; in a competitive market.
The appointed financial controller will report to and work closely with the Finance Director and will be responsible for a predominately London-based finance department. The company is proud of how it adapted during Covid and has embraced a more flexible working culture. The ability to manage the wider finance team in a Hybrid environment is important. You will be dedicated to the timely delivery of monthly management accounts and further refine complementary processes. You will work closely with the Finance Director and be encouraged to contribute to monthly reporting and communications to the board.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver and package a Management Accounts Pack including Variance Analysis Commentary and Balance Sheet notes
- Lead wider finance team, delegate with boundaries, ensure robust controls, suggest and implement process improvement
- Ongoing site profitability control- working with area managers to ensure accuracy of forecasting, stay within budgeted spend and general financial advice
- Lead annual audit preparation and support on statutory accounts production
- Recently acquired entity migration from Xero to Dynamics 365
- Finalise UK corporation tax returns and work with tax advisers to ensure compliance
- Facilitate annual Budget production
- Support, mentor and develop a team of enthusiastic and committed individuals.
