The Opportunity

The business is seeking a proactive Assistant Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller across a broad range of daily and monthly finance activities. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands‑on exposure across the full finance function, contributing directly to high‑value outputs such as:

  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Revenue and COGS analysis
  • Consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Group reporting and process improvement

You will be encouraged to take ownership, ask questions, and challenge for accurate information across the wider team. Key Responsibilities

  • Process new supplier invoices daily using HubDoc (OCR tool)
  • Raise and issue sales invoices as requested by sales and project teams
  • Ensure accurate coding and tracking including project names and introducer details
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple group accountsReconcile trade debtor and creditor balances where required
  • Support debtor chasing and credit‑control activities
  • Match purchase‑ledger postings against project‑management records
  • Maintain and update schedules for external commission payments
  • Assist with the development and rollout of cloud‑based reporting dashboards

Candidate Profile

  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, SUMIFS and PivotTables
  • Experience with Xero (preferred but not essential)
  • A proactive communicator who enjoys problem‑solving
  • Comfortable engaging with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely information
  • Actively studying ACCA or CIMA, or planning to do so
  • Genuine interest in improving processes and contributing to a modern finance function
