This is a full-time hybrid (in office 3 days per week) position based in London. Reuters Events are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to sell tailored event sponsorship packages across our international portfolio of Life Science events. In this role, you will partner with healthcare, technology and pharmaceutical brands and sell a range of sponsorship packages on our thought leadership-led events.

About the Role:

  • Work collaboratively with other executives across the Life Sciences team to sell tailored sponsorship packages to a variety of global brands.
  • You’ll have a particular focus on selling across events within the Healthcare portfolio, with a significant market presence in the USA.
  • Report to the Head of Sales for Healthcare and Pharma.
  • As an individual contributor, you won’t have management responsibility and will drive revenue across the healthcare portfolio as lead seller.
  • Use your strong written communication to gauge client needs and tailor value propositions to their business goals.
  • Be curious about changes in business markets and how shifting market dynamics create challenges and opportunities for clients, and how our events can help them navigate change.
  • Work closely with the Conference Production team to establish the best audiences and maximize the success of our conferences and events.

About You:

  • Demonstrable experience in the events industry, selling sponsorship packages.
  • Prior experience with life sciences clients or similar industries is a plus.
  • The commercial acumen to spot opportunities and drive growth in pharma and healthcare portfolios.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable representing the Reuters brand, crafting engaging copy and written value propositions, and building relationships with global C-level executives.
  • Demonstrable B2B sales and new business development experience, ideally in an events, conference-led or publishing setting.
  • A collaborative attitude; able to succeed both individually and in a team-based environment.
  • The desire to progress and develop your skills further; we offer an uncapped commission scheme and invest in our sales team.
  • The ability to adapt to market changes and articulate solutions to stakeholders over the phone, in person, and on video calls.
