You’ll partner with editorial, product, partnerships, marketing, and sales teams to build sports offerings that resonate with clients and drive commercial success, while continuously measuring performance to inform the direction that our services take next.

Reuters is entering an exciting phase, accelerating expansion in global sports content and identifying new markets, customer segments, and use cases to expand and scale further. The Agency Proposition & Commercial Strategy team shapes Reuters News Agency’s growth by defining market opportunities, building compelling propositions, and driving commercial success. With recent acquisitions (Imagen and Imagn Images), we are positioned to redefine how sports content is created, distributed, monetized, and experienced. While the primary focus is on Sports, there are opportunities to shape other emerging business opportunities.

Experience in sports is not mandatory, but a keen interest and understanding of the global sports industry is advantageous.

About the Role

  • Conduct market and competitor analyses to identify opportunities and client needs, and scope and prioritize propositions aligned with Reuters’ strategic vision.
  • Define and validate value propositions, supported by research, customer insights, and business case development.
  • Oversee go-to-market planning and execution by collaborating with product, partnerships and editorial teams to shape offerings, packaging, pricing, and messaging.
  • Align with marketing and sales to define launch strategies, target segments, channel enablement and content plans while managing interdependencies across teams.
  • Track and optimise performance by defining proposition-level KPIs and metrics to monitor adoption, engagement and revenue impact.
  • Generate regular performance dashboards and analyses to recommend actions, including pricing and packaging reviews to optimise offerings and maximise value.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including editorial, product, partnerships, sales, marketing and finance to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Contribute to strategic planning cycles by providing market intelligence and trend insights.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and commercial excellence.

  • Excellent analytical capabilities: comfortable with market research, financial modeling, and customer insights.
  • Adept at stakeholder management with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset, entrepreneurial acumen, and the ability to drive change.
  • Clear communication—written and verbal—with storytelling and presentation fluency.
