TRS Training Limited are a leading provider of apprenticeships and skills training to the UK\'s transport and logistics sector. We were the Transport and Logistics Apprenticeship Provider of Year 2023. We are the Skills Partners for the Road Haulage Association and British Association of Removers and provide training to over 400 small and national employers.

We are looking for a highly skilled LGV Apprenticeship Skills Coach join our training team. As a trainer you will be passionate about nurturing and developing the new generation of logistics and warehousing employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning sessions to groups in classrooms and through online platforms
  • Provide support and mentoring to apprentices
  • Conduct regular progress reviews to learners and their line managers
  • Support learners and employers to meet the funding requirements of the apprenticeship
  • Provide a safeguarding training and wider learning as required.

Essential criteria:

  • Hold a relevant assessor qualification such as A1
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards
  • Experience delivering apprenticeships using online E-Portfolio systems
  • Flexibility to travel to employer sites if required
  • LGV licence
  • Have a good knowledge of the logistics / supply chain industry
  • Have experience delivering classroom training and through online platforms
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a supportive and nurturing aspect to your personality
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Have an excellent knowledge of safeguarding and the Prevent Duty
  • Have a good standard of digital skills – Microsoft Office

Additional information:

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Nest pension scheme
  • mileage at HMRC rates (45p per mile for first 10,000 miles, 25p per mile thereafter)
  • Normal hours are Monday to Friday (can vary depending on business needs)
