This role is with a growing company. The preference now is for someone who wants to be part of the business day-to-day, bounce problems off the team, and take real ownership of projects. There is still flexibility; the odd day from home is fine and start/finish times aren’t rigid, but this isn’t a remote role.
The position itself is very hands-on. You won’t just sit behind a programme and chase emails. You’ll be involved from start to finish: design input, pricing support, running the job, dealing with clients, and getting it over the line. Think QS, PM, and account manager all rolled into one.
Projects are typically between £40K and £500K and cover the full mechanical package: heating, ventilation, AC, and some electrical. Most of the work is cradle-to-grave rather than being dropped into the middle of someone else’s project.
They’re not looking for a technical expert. What matters more is someone who can take responsibility, communicate well, and actually deliver. Personality and attitude are key.
