This is not simply an account management position. You'll inherit existing customers, but the real opportunity is to develop relationships further, identify opportunities currently being missed and win new business across a substantial food manufacturing territory. The company is at the beginning of an exciting period of commercial development and is looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.
The Role
- Develop existing and new food manufacturing accounts across your territory
- Identify and qualify genuine sales opportunities rather than simply generating activity
- Build relationships with Engineering, Operations, Procurement and senior site contacts
- Develop larger and multi-site customers strategically
- Identify opportunities for additional products, projects and services within existing accounts
- Target and win new food processing customers
The Person
We're particularly interested in people who have sold technical products, equipment or services into food manufacturing and processing environments. Experience within meat, poultry, seafood, ready meals, frozen/chilled food or similar environments would be particularly relevant. You'll ideally have:
- A track record of field sales into food manufacturing
- Experience developing larger accounts alongside winning new business
- An understanding of how food production sites operate
- Experience selling to Engineering, Operations and Procurement
After all, you'll be someone who believes hard work should translate into results and wants the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a developing sales operation.
