A growing decarbonisation and renewable energy business delivering large-scale energy centres, district heating systems and prefabricated plant solutions across the UK and Europe is looking for a Technical Manager – Heat Pumps. This is a technical leadership role focused on specification, design support and consultant engagement across commercial low-carbon heating projects.
Technical Managers duties:
- You’ll act as the technical authority for commercial heat pump systems, supporting projects from early design through to delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Technical ownership of commercial heat pump solutions
- Supporting consultants and contractors with system design and specification
- Reviewing M&E consultant designs and identifying optimisation opportunities
- Providing technical input during tenders and bids
- Delivering CPDs and technical presentations to consultants and clients
- Ensuring systems meet UK/EU regulations and industry standards
- Supporting specification-led opportunities through the project pipeline
Projects include energy centres, district heating and large commercial decarbonisation schemes.
Technical Managers requirements:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services)
- Experience with commercial heat pump system design
- Strong understanding of HVAC and low-carbon heating systems
- Familiarity with CIBSE guidance and building services design
- Knowledge of F-Gas regulations and environmental considerations
