TRS Staffing solutions have an excellent opportunity for a Subsea Cable Engineer to work with a Marine Contractor in Aberdeen.
The role will be working across multiple sectors in the offshore energy sector, from Oil & Gas to Offshore wind., * Under guidance, perform cable studies such as installation assessments, routing, CBRA, survey consultancy and burial assessment for cables in the marine environment.

Advantageous to have experience of cable global analysis modelling, such as OrcaFlex etc.

Analyse the complex interplay between seabed conditions, installation constraints, burial tool performance, metocean climate and maritime users to engineer optimum solutions in terms of cost, programme and risk for offshore renewables, interconnector and oil and gas projects.

MEng, or BEng+MSc degrees in subsea engineering, civil or mechanical engineering, engineering geology, geotechnical or similar and relevant disciplines

Initial experience in the offshore sector, with experience in offshore wind and cable installation considered advantageous

Analytical basis of carrying out engineering assessments to required codes and standards

Graduate Member of a professional institution and working towards Chartered Engineer status

Working ability in a range of engineering analysis tools

Excellent Microsoft Office skills
