We are looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Senior Authorised Person to join our team in Royston. This role is with a global EPC, on an initial 12 month contract outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the installation contractor for the handover of completed electrical works.
- Manage and supervise vendor personnel during commissioning activities.
- Perform electrical isolations and implement Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for equipment and systems.
- Witness and/or execute testing of electrical equipment and systems to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for handover to the client, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- Certified at to 11 Kv.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical commissioning and/or high-voltage operations.
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification for HV systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including isolations and LOTO.
- Experience with testing and commissioning of HV/LV equipment and associated control systems.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively on-site.
