We are currently supporting a major refinery project and are seeking an experienced E&I QA/QC Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality compliance across all electrical and instrumentation works. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing inspection, testing, and certification activities, ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Initial 12 month Contract Outside IR35 Rotational role

Duties include:

  • Implement and maintain QA/QC processes for all electrical and instrumentation (E&I) activities on site
  • Conduct inspections and witness testing for installation, calibration, and commissioning of E&I systems
  • Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, project-specific requirements)
  • Perform site quality audits and surveillance of contractors and subcontractors
  • Identify non-conformances (NCRs), drive corrective actions, and track close-out
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records, documentation, and turnover dossiers
  • Liaise with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations
  • Support handover processes, including punch list management and final documentation submission
  • Promote a strong quality and safety culture across all project activities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an E&I QA/QC Engineer within refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning practices
  • Experience working on large-scale brownfield or greenfield refinery projects
  • Familiarity with international standards (IEC, ISO, API, etc.)
  • Experience in reviewing QA/QC documentation including ITPs, procedures, and technical specifications
