We are seeking reliable and safety-focused General Construction Operatives to support site operations on a live construction project. The role is site-based and involves providing essential support across logistics, traffic management, materials handling and waste control, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who are comfortable working in a dynamic construction environment and supporting multiple site functions.
Initial 6+ months contract
Key Responsibilities
- Support site logistics operations, including movement of materials, equipment and personnel
- Assist with traffic management, ensuring safe vehicle and pedestrian movement around site
- Act as a parking warden, controlling and monitoring site parking in accordance with site rules
- Supervise and coordinate material deliveries, ensuring correct access, unloading and storage locations
- Provide waste control support, including segregation, monitoring skips and maintaining housekeeping standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment at all times
- Follow site health, safety and environmental procedures, reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
- Support site management, supervisors and logistics teams as required
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience working on a construction or infrastructure site (preferred but not essential)
- Good awareness of site safety practices and willingness to follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with site personnel
- Flexible and proactive approach to site duties
