- Our significant client is seeking an experienced
Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join its Electricity Distribution team.
The successful candidate will hold SAP authorisation on low-voltage 11kv-33kv, electrical networks and have a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Authorised Person on HV distribution networks.
- Carry out switching, isolation, earthing and restoration activities safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and issue safety documentation including Permits to Work and Sanction for Test.
- Support planned and emergency fault response activities.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and operational teams on site.
- Assist with network commissioning, maintenance and capital project activities.
- Lead and support engineers, project teams, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Current or previous SAP authorisation on electrical distribution networks.
- Experience working on HV networks (11k V, 33k V and above).
- Strong understanding of electrical safety rules and operational procedures.
- Experience conducting switching operations and issuing safety documents.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification (HNC, HND, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
