Our client is a leading energy transition business supporting the most challenging requirements for power generation, grid stabilisation, and decarbonisation through electrification.
In this role, as a Controls Engineer you will be designing rotating equipment control systems using PRISMIC products and various OEM’s PLCs and IEDs.
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing advanced control software for power systems
- Optimising control system network architectures
- Programming PLCs using various OEM software to meet functional requirements
- Creating configuration files for IEDs using multiple OEM tools
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in PLC/DCS programming and configuring controllers/IEDs; Codesys knowledge is desirable
- Have knowledge of software-based microsystems/control systems and communication protocols such as Modbus TCP; IEC 61850 and digital substation experience is desirable
