Our client in Newcastle is looking for a reliable Junior Administrator to join the team. This is a varied role that requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. You’ll play a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment for staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Monitoring Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Maintain records of safety inspections and report any issues to management Support the implementation of safety policies and procedures First Aid Act as a designated First Aider for the office Maintain first aid supplies and ensure readiness for emergencies Record and report incidents in line with company policy Catering & Facilities Support Oversee daily catering arrangements including refreshments and supplies Liaise with external vendors for catering and maintenance services Ensure communal areas are clean, stocked, and welcoming Reception & Communication Answer incoming calls and direct queries appropriately Greet visitors and manage meeting room bookings Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries General Administrative Support Assist with filing, data entry, and document management Support team members with ad hoc tasks and projects Order office supplies and monitor inventory levels Requirements Previous experience in an administrative or office support role (preferred but not essential) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication Basic knowledge of health and safety practices First Aid Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
