Our client in the Farnborough area is looking for a HSE Manager on an initial 1-year contract. This role will be based outside of IR35. The HSE Manager will lead the Health, Safety & Environment function for a PMC project, ensuring compliance with international standards, client requirements, and corporate policies. This role is pivotal in embedding a strong safety culture across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the HSE strategy for the PMC project.
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, international standards, and client-specific requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, client representatives, and PMC leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance and environmental management.
- Prepare and deliver HSE training and awareness programs.
- Monitor and report on HSE KPIs to senior management.
Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years HSE experience in large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environments.
- Background in mining, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projects preferred.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent international HSE qualification.
- Chartered IOSH membership (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS standards.
