Our client is a leading energy transition business supporting the most challenging requirements for power generation, grid stabilization, and decarbonization through electrification.

In this role, as a Controls Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design of rotating machines and their auxiliary control systems.
  • Reviewing electrical and control circuit designs and providing detailed markups to the drawing office team.
  • Developing detailed test specifications for both hardware and software testing.
  • Programming PLCs using various OEM software to meet functional requirements.
  • Creating configuration files for IEDs using multiple OEM tools.
  • Having proven experience in designing control equipment for electrical power systems, machinery, and process control applications.
  • Having experience in PLC/DCS programming and configuring controllers/IEDs.
  • Having the ability to interpret and design electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Having knowledge of software-based microsystems/control systems and communication protocols such as Modbus TCP; IEC 61850 and digital substation experience is desirable.
