An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated individual to join a site-based Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team as an Apprentice HSE Advisor. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while working towards a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Occupational Health and Safety at SCQF Level 7, with progression to the NEBOSH National General Certificate.
This apprenticeship is ideal for someone looking to build a career in health and safety within the construction or infrastructure sectors, while contributing to the delivery of a nationally significant project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and reviewing safe systems of work.
- Conduct site visits to monitor compliance with safety procedures and standards.
- Support the delivery of training sessions, including toolbox talks and site inductions.
- Participate in incident investigations and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Analyse incident and near-miss data and present findings to the management team.
- Provide administrative support, including responding to emails, answering calls, and maintaining accurate records (both digital and manual).
