Radio Structures Ltd (TRS) is looking for an experienced Working at Height Trainer to deliver practical, safety-led training including tower climbing, rescue, and first aid at height. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working on structures and can also support our rigging teams as a rigging engineer when required.

Hours: Full time: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver Working at Height training (theory + practical), including tower climbing, safe access/positioning, use of fall arrest and work positioning systems, rope-based working and rescue techniques, and first aid at height.
  • Carry out learner assessments and maintain training records and certification paperwork.
  • Ensure training is delivered to a high standard with strong focus on safety, compliance, and real-world site practice.
  • Provide rigging engineer support to our rigging teams when required (site work, installation support, rescue planning, etc.).
  • Occasional work on client premises and infrequent travel, including potential overseas travel.

Essential requirements:

  • Teaching/Assessment Qualification: a recognised teaching, training, and assessment qualification (such as PTLLS, AET, or equivalent) or a minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering training and assessments.
  • Proven competence in working at height and tower climbing.
  • Rope access training or experience (or strong rope-based rescue background).
  • Able to work safely at height and lead by example.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, safety-first approach.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (UK and rare overseas).

Desirable (nice to have):

  • First aid instructor capability/qualification (or strong first aid delivery experience).
  • Telecoms, broadcast, or tower rigging experience.
  • EUSR or industry scheme familiarity.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • IPAF, PASMA or other rescue qualifications (if applicable).
