TRS Personnel are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join an established, family-owned company based in Telford. This is a varied and hands-on position that combines general warehouse work with furniture deliveries, collections and assembly. As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse and ensure customer orders are prepared, delivered and assembled safely and professionally. You will regularly visit customer premises, so a friendly manner and good customer service skills are important.
Duties will include:
- Delivering and collecting furniture
- Assembling furniture at customer premises
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Preparing customer orders for delivery
- Checking deliveries and returned items
- Completing general warehouse duties
- Moving and organising stock safely
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
- Supporting other members of the team when required
The successful Warehouse Operative will:
- Hold a full UK driving licence. Minor points may be accepted
- Be comfortable completing manual handling and lifting furniture
- Have a practical, hands-on approach to work
- Be confident using basic tools to assemble furniture
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Work well independently and as part of a small team
- Be comfortable speaking with customers at delivery locations
- Take pride in completing work safely and to a high standard
Previous warehouse, and/or furniture assembly experience would be beneficial, although a positive attitude, good work ethic and willingness to learn are equally important.
