Role Summary

Following expansion, we seek a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer responsible for servicing and breakdown repair of a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostics systems used within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments.

Responsibilities

  • Service and breakdown repair of a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostics systems.
  • Visit customer sites and provide customers with valuable solutions for troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with a variety of external customer contacts, including laboratory managers and laboratory technicians from within the NHS and a range of private independent scientific organisations and laboratories.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience working on high‑value capital equipment and a qualification in electronics.
  • Experience working on diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, pre‑press, printing or high‑value electronic/electro‑mechanical capital equipment is desirable.
  • Full product training will be provided; candidates with varied backgrounds will be considered.
