We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a highly creative and fashion-forward Womenswear Tailoring Designer. Our client, a well-established and respected womenswear supplier to some of the UK's leading high street retailers, is seeking an experienced designer with a strong commercial mindset, exceptional trend awareness, and the confidence to take ownership of their category from day one.
This is a senior position within a fast-paced, high-volume environment and would suit someone who truly lives and breathes fashion. You will have a strong personal sense of style, be immersed in current and emerging trends, and have the ability to translate these into commercially successful collections.
Working within a busy design team, you will play a key role across casual tailoring and soft woven product areas, contributing creatively while working autonomously and efficiently under pressure.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Designing trend-led, commercially focused womenswear collections with a strong emphasis on tailoring garments
- Developing seasonal ranges tailored to key UK high street retailer profiles and customer expectations
- Conducting detailed trend research and confidently translating insights into sellable product
- Working closely with sales and technical teams to take designs from concept through to production
- Presenting collections and ideas clearly and confidently to internal teams and external retail clients
- Continuously tracking global fashion, fabric, and silhouette trends to ensure collections remain fresh and relevant
- Managing the sampling process where required, ensuring design integrity and commercial viability
- Leading and attending client meetings, demonstrating strong product knowledge and creative direction
