We are looking for a Shipping Coordinator (Import) to support daily shipment execution and coordination across upstream (suppliers and freight forwarders) and downstream (3PLs and Customs Brokers) activities. This role operates in a busy, fast-paced environment and requires strong follow-up skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, can-do attitude. It is a great opportunity to learn end-to-end import shipping operations and grow within the logistics function. This role is for a global fashion branded company so fashion experience in logistics would be beneficial.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Track import shipment milestones from booking to final delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and customs brokers.
- Support booking follow-ups, sailing confirmations, and shipment tracking.
- Monitor ETDs, ETAs, arrivals, and deliveries on a daily basis.
- Maintain and update shipment trackers and ERP systems accurately.
- Support freight cost follow-ups and basic freight invoice validation.
- Identify and flag delays, missing documents, or risks proactively.
- Prepare daily shipment status reports and issue logs.
- Provide operational support during peak periods and team leave coverage.
- Assist in improving reporting, tracking, and operational processes.
Person Specifications:
- Bachelor's/ master's degree in supply chain, logistics, shipping, or a related field (preferred).
- Min 2-3 years of experience in import shipping or logistics coordination.
- Good working knowledge of: Sea freight and air freight operations, Incoterms and Basic shipping documentation.
- Strong Excel skills, including: Lookups (VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP), Pivot Tables, Day-to-day operational formulas.
- Exposure to ERP systems (or ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
