Are you an experienced Ladies Knitwear Designer with young directional handwriting and a commercial eye looking for the next step in your career ? If so then we have a fabulous opportunity with a highly successful fashion business . Due to continued success are looking at expanding their design team. They are looking to recruit an additional Senior Designer with trend lead and fashion forward commercial handwriting. You will need to be able to confidently lead design meetings, be ahead of the trends with a sound technical knowledge. Experience working with and visiting factories in the Far East is key for this role. This role offers hybrid working. Main Responsibilities will include: Establish an innovative range based upon product range priorities, customer requirements and budget and departmental profitability guidelines. Working closely with the wider design team Be up to date and research the latest fashion trends, produce trend boards, create seasonal trend/directional reports. Present ranges to the Buyers and internally as required in a creative and informative manner. Working with Buyers to produce bestselling styles. Liaise with overseas factories on a daily basis. Supporting the design team, being a key member of the team in creating commercial, fashion-led knitwear, managing Juniors. Person Specifications: 5 years of commercial ladies knitwear industry experience Proficient in CAD and illustrator skills. Previous supplier experience essential Experience of working with Far East and Bangladesh factories Confident at presenting to Buyers. Must have a strong commercial eye, and an ability to interpret trends. Able to work in a fast-paced environment & have a pro-active approach.
