Are you passionate about creating exceptional garments that embody style, quality, and innovation? We are seeking a talented Garment Technologist to join a dynamic team for a fashion brand. As a Garment Technologist, you’ll collaborate within a dedicated team, working on styles from prototype to the delivery of the finished product in our stores. You’ll play a vital role in translating Designer sketches and details into beautifully crafted, high-quality garments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a flair for creativity, and the ability to foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best outcomes. This role is based in London and offers hybrid working. Main Responsibilities include: Sound knowledge and ability to confidently fit garments on the body accompanied with the organisational skills to ensure the time line required by the company Critical Path is achieved. To manage and flex the process by which the high quality of make and fit is achieved to the standards required. Sound technical knowledge to determine whether a garment fits appropriately for the customer. Ability to very clearly communicate to suppliers and team members on how to fix fit or make issues by applying your technical knowledge. You will be responsible for ensuring that garment construction methods are maintained to a high standard on your product. Partake in risk assessment sessions which must include all stakeholders. Challenge grading to ensure best fit across sizes/product areas. Study trends to understand new styling. Embrace new trends to make sure you know how to deliver the garment the designer has created so that the supplier can effectively and efficiently deliver it Experience and interest in pattern cutting, fabric and garment testing. Person Specification: At least 3 years’ experience as a Garment Technologist. Experience with garment testing and risk assessment. Pattern cutting and grading experience beneficial.
