My client is looking for a strong multiproduct soft woven designer to work across several large accounts with supermarkets and high-volume retailers. If you have a truly commercial eye for fashion and a background working with suppliers or retailers, and are confident to attend meetings with buyers alongside the account manager, this role could be perfect for you.
My client is looking for a mid-level, commercial designer with a young to mid-market fashion-forward handwriting style who is used to working in a fast-paced environment and can work under pressure. Woven bottom experience is highly desirable.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Create seasonal mood & trend boards with the design team
- Design seasonal capsule collections along with key shapes, colour palettes, and fabric direction
- Research and source new design ideas & fabrics/trims day to day
- Design and develop commercial and fashion-forward products for range and clients
- Attend fabric fairs and inspirational shopping trips
- Attend regular design meetings with the Sales Manager and customer buying/design teams whom you will be liaising regularly with
Person Specification:
- Strong supplier or retail background required for this role
- Woven / Soft separates background
- Woven bottoms experience highly desirable
- Strong CAD skills needed
