Our clients who are a global fashion premium branded agency are looking for a Shipping Coordinator.
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations is needed for this role.
This role is based in Watford.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Monitor PO schedules (Ex-factory), follow up with suppliers, and flag potential delays to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
- Manage and update Infor Nexus and ERP systems, including accurate entry of inbound shipment data.
- Confirm shipping schedules and track shipments, providing regular updates to internal teams and the shipping manager.
- Verify and approve import documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) to ensure customs compliance.
- Collaborate with customs agents to resolve clearance issues and prevent shipment delays.
- Monitor shipping costs, reconcile invoices, and maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
Person Specifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, with experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Proficient in ERP systems and logistics software, with strong knowledge of import/export documentation, INCOTERMS, and customs clearance processes.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail for verifying shipping documents and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
