A well-established fashion supplier, trusted by some of the UK's most trend-forward retailers, is looking for a talented and passionate Outerwear Designer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer who truly lives and breathes outerwear, someone who brings both creative flair and technical precision to everything they do. You'll play a central role in the design process from concept to delivery, working closely with buyers, account managers, and factories to bring compelling collections to life. Hybrid working 3/2 is also offered in this role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Design & Development - Create innovative concepts, mood boards, and detailed technical specifications that translate trend into commercial product.
- CAD & Technical - Produce accurate, polished CADs and tech packs with strong attention to detail.
- Trend Research - Stay ahead of the market, identifying key outerwear trends and translating them into relevant, sellable designs.
- Buyer Relationships - Lead design meetings with retail buyers, presenting with confidence and building strong, lasting partnerships.
- Fabric & Trim Sourcing - Identify and source new materials that elevate product quality and innovation.
- Factory Liaison - Collaborate regularly with factories in Bangladesh and Cambodia to ensure design intent is delivered at every stage of production.
Person Specification
- Solid outerwear design experience, gained at a supplier or retail brand.
- Experience working with Bangladesh and/or Cambodia essential.
- Strong technical skills - proficient in Adobe and confident producing CADs.
- A natural presenter, comfortable leading buyer meetings.
- Commercially minded with a keen eye on trends.
- Highly organised, collaborative, and positive in approach.
