We are looking for a commercially astute Senior Merchandiser - Ecommerce/Trading to join our fashion-led business on a 12-month maternity cover. This role sits at the heart of the online operation, owning trading performance across the UK e-commerce channel and ensuring the right product, at the right time, in the right place. Blending commercial instinct with strong analytical thinking, you will drive seasonal planning, in-season trading and inventory strategy, working closely with Buying, Digital Marketing and Supply Chain to deliver a compelling, customer-first online proposition.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Own and drive the seasonal e-commerce trade strategy, delivering against sales, margin, stock and conversion targets.
- Lead OTB management, assortment planning and in-season trading decisions to maximise sell-through and stock efficiency.
- Shape category-level merchandising, pricing and NOS strategies, balancing trend, availability and commercial performance.
- Manage the online product and launch calendar, overseeing seasonal, replenishment and in-season buys.
- Define and execute promotional and markdown strategies, supporting peak periods and key fashion moments.
- Lead weekly trade meetings and performance reviews, translating data into clear, commercial actions and insight.
Person Specification:
- 8 years' experience in merchandising or trading within fashion e-commerce or omnichannel retail.
- Strong commercial mindset with advanced Excel skills and the ability to confidently interpret trading data.
- Proven experience managing OTB, stock flow and in-season trading in a fast-paced fashion environment.
- Confident, collaborative and adaptable, able to step in quickly and influence cross-functional teams.
