An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established womenswear supplier based in London, who are looking for a highly commercial and trend-driven nightwear designer for ladieswear with a strong eye for fashion and experience designing for the UK high street market. This is a full-time, office-based role (no hybrid working), offering the chance to take ownership of key accounts, work closely with major high street retailers, and play a central role in a creative, fast-paced design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing ladies' nightwear collections with a strong commercial focus
- Working closely with buyers and key account teams to deliver trend-led, market-relevant designs
- Creating and presenting trend direction boards, colour palettes, and mood boards
- Conducting trend research and developing concept designs, technical drawings, and detailed tech packs
- Attending customer meetings and confidently presenting designs to buyers alongside the sales team
- Overseeing the sampling process through to production
- Sourcing fabrics and developing seasonal ranges
- Supporting and mentoring a junior designer
Person Requirements:
- Strong background in nightwear and/or loungewear design (supplier or retail experience)
- Highly commercial with a young, trend-led portfolio
- Confident communicator, able to present to buyers and at board level
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator) with strong technical drawing and tech pack ability
- Excellent understanding of the UK high street market and consumer
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Passionate, driven, and eager to contribute to a creative and collaborative team
