We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established international group with a portfolio of reputable global brands. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Garment Technologist to join a dynamic product team, playing a key role in ensuring the fit, quality, performance and consistency of products across multiple categories.

Working closely with Design, Product Development and overseas manufacturing partners, you will be responsible for managing garments through the development process from initial concept through to production approval. This role would suit a technically strong Garment Technologist who enjoys working collaboratively, solving problems and driving product excellence within a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Collaborating closely with Design and Product Development teams to translate concepts into commercially viable products.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed technical specifications, workbooks and grading information across inline collections and SMU programmes.
  • Measuring and reviewing prototypes, SMS, pre-production and shipment samples prior to fit sessions.
  • Leading fit meetings and communicating clear technical comments, solutions and amendments to overseas factories.
  • Reviewing garment construction, fit, measurements and quality standards throughout the product development process.
  • Managing sample approvals and ensuring all products meet company quality, performance and compliance requirements.
  • Working with factories and suppliers to troubleshoot technical issues, improve product performance and ensure production timelines are achieved.
  • Maintaining accurate records, approval trackers and technical documentation throughout the development cycle.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Garment Technologist position, ideally within apparel, sportswear or fashion product categories.
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, grading, fitting, fabrics and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to critical deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working cross-functionally and liaising with overseas factories and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
