Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Menswear Designer to join a globally recognised elevated fashion brand.

Working alongside the Designer and Senior Designer, you will contribute to the development of commercially successful, trend-led collections across multiple product categories.

This role offers the chance to collaborate within a supportive design team while playing an active part in bringing seasonal collections from concept through to production.

Experience working for either a retailer, brand or supplier will be considered.

Main Responsibilities will include: Research seasonal trends, cultural influences and market developments, translating these into commercially relevant designs that align with the brand's aesthetic.

Design across a broad menswear product offering, including knitwear, jersey, shirts, outerwear, tailoring and trousers, while providing support across additional categories when required.

Collaborate closely with Design, Buying and Garment Technology teams throughout the product development process.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication from initial concept through to final production.

Produce accurate technical packs and specifications to communicate design intent to factories and suppliers.

Present mood boards, trend research, product concepts and design proposals to the Senior Designer throughout each season.

Manage priorities effectively to ensure all design work is completed in line with critical path deadlines.

Create, maintain and update product information within the PLM system.

Monitor the progress of prototypes, fabric developments, lab dips and handlooms, reviewing samples and developments with the Senior Designer.

Incorporate sustainable design practices where appropriate, considering responsible material selection and supplier partnerships.

Specicifation: Previous experience within menswear design.

Strong knowledge of garment construction and experience designing across wovens, knitwear and jersey.

Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills, with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, In Design and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Awareness of generative AI tools is beneficial but not essential.

Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Excellent planning and workload management skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

Strong creative flair combined with technical design expertise.

High level of organisation, attention to detail and accuracy.

Confident communication and presentation skills.
