Ladieswear Designer specialising in wovens and jersey to join a leading UK supplier working with major high street retailers and supermarkets.

Based in their London office, this well-established business has built an outstanding reputation for both its products and its people.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and commercially minded designer with a strong young to mid-market handwriting and a passion for delivering trend-led, customer-focused collections.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently managing multiple projects while working closely with customers and internal teams.

Main Responsibilties will include

  • Create seasonal mood boards and trend presentations alongside the Design team.
  • Work closely with the in-house Sales team to develop and grow key customer accounts.
  • Design seasonal capsule collections, including key silhouettes, colour palettes and fabric direction.
  • Research emerging trends and source new fabrics, trims and design inspiration.
  • Develop commercial, fashion-forward product tailored to customer briefs and market trends.
  • Attend fabric fairs, trade shows and inspirational shopping trips.
  • Participate in regular design meetings with the Sales Manager and customer buying and design teams, building strong working relationships.
  • Work closely with the in-house Garment Technology team throughout the product development process.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience designing womenswear for the young fashion market.
  • Strong background in wovens and jersey
  • Experience designing for major UK high street retailers.
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an excellent understanding of current and emerging fashion trends.
  • Confident presenting ideas and attending customer meetings.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Fully computer literate with strong CAD skills.
