We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Garment Technologist to join a dynamic fashion business, supporting a diverse portfolio of branded accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in bringing new collections to market, collaborating closely with designers, manufacturers, brands, and customers. This role is based in the London studio 5 days a week.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assist senior technologists with the fitting and management of samples, from development through to pre-shipment
- Measure, check, and record customer fit, sealing, and production samples to ensure accuracy
- Support in setting up workbooks and graded size specifications in line with fit comments
- Attend customer fit meetings when required, ensuring garments are approved in line with critical path deadlines
- Help prepare and manage testing requirements, reviewing test reports and liaising with factories on any failures
- Track and chase fit and production samples to keep production on schedule
- Update the production critical path daily in collaboration with merchandisers and technologists
- Liaise with internal and overseas QC teams to review reports, resolve issues, and approve goods for shipping
Person Specification:
- Degree in fashion or a related technical subject
- 2-3 years experience in a garment technology or technical assistant role
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); PLM experience advantageous
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
