An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and commercially minded Designer to join a growing team specialising in licensed children's products for the UK and EU markets. The role focuses on designing licensed drinkware and lunch bags, delivering original, on-brand concepts across a wide range of globally recognised licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Designing trend-led, commercially viable licensed products across drinkware and lunch bag categories
- Creating product artwork, packaging designs, mock-ups and presentation materials for licensor and customer review
- Producing accurate print-ready artwork, applying style guides, die cuts and correct licensing requirements
- Managing the approvals process with licensors, responding to feedback and refining artwork accordingly
- Liaising with the production and PD teams to ensure smooth communication with Far East suppliers
- Reviewing samples and providing detailed feedback on finishes, materials and print execution
- Maintaining brand consistency across all designs while meeting commercial targets and production timelines
- Supporting innovation through trend research and identifying opportunities for new designs and formats
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in licensed product design, ideally across drinkware, lunch bags or similar consumer categories
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat (Mac), with strong art working and layout skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident communicating with licensors and Far East suppliers
- Commercially aware with a good understanding of cost considerations and production processes
