A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a creative and commercially focused Ladieswear Designer to join a well‑established high street supplier. This role sits within the Performance and Athleisure department and is ideal for a designer with a strong understanding of trend‑led activewear who is looking to grow within a collaborative and supportive team.
Working closely with buyers and internal teams, the designer will lead seasonal concept development and deliver fashion‑forward yet commercially viable ranges for key UK retailers.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Designing seasonal collections for ladies' performance and athleisurewear, including CADs, tech packs and trend presentations
- Leading the creation of trend packs each season, covering key shapes, fabrics, colours, graphics and moods
- Presenting designs to buyers and building strong relationships with retail partners
- Managing sample development, including tech pack accuracy, sample trackers and fabric/trim libraries
- Producing regular shop reports and sourcing new fabrics to support range development
- Liaising with the merchandising teams in Shanghai and buyers in the UK to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
- Supporting occasional overseas inspiration trips and attending trade events where relevant
- Keeping internal systems and shared documents (e.g. OneDrive) up to date
Person Specification:
- Previous experience designing ladieswear performance or athleisure ranges
- Strong CAD and Adobe Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- CLO 3D knowledge is a plus
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance creativity and market demands
- Confident communicator and team player, used to working in a fast‑paced supplier environment
