We are working with an established fashion supplier based in London who is looking for a Mid-Level Womenswear Soft Wovens Designer to join their team, working on a key supermarket account.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded Designer with a commercial, trend-led handwriting and a strong understanding of the supermarket market. You will be able to interpret catwalk trends and translate them into wearable, commercially relevant product, with the confidence to present your ideas to buyers.
Main Responsibilities
- Designing and developing commercial womenswear soft woven ranges in line with customer briefs and price points.
- Researching trends and competitor activity to create fresh, feminine and relevant product.
- Presenting ranges and new concepts confidently to buyers.
- Working closely with customers and internal teams throughout the design process.
- Managing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines, including short lead times where required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience designing womenswear soft wovens within a fashion supplier.
- Experience working with supermarkets or major UK retailers would be an advantage.
- A feminine, trend-led design handwriting with a strong commercial eye.
- Confident presenting ranges and building relationships with buyers.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work across different priorities at any one time.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
