We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Jersey Designer across womenswear jersey to join a marketing leading fashion business.
Based in Leicester, this is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded individual to step into a high-impact role. You will be working with key fashion retail clients including River Island and ASOS, designing trend-led jersey product ranges across both basics and fashion categories.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing innovative jersey product ranges with a strong focus on both fashion-forward and commercially viable pieces.
- Delivering unique and standout designs that align with client expectations and seasonal trends.
- Conducting in-depth trend research and providing creative inspiration to continually evolve the jersey offering.
- Working closely with the print and graphics teams as well as external suppliers to identify and execute clear design direction.
- Spotting and capitalising on new product opportunities quickly to ensure trend leadership in the market.
- Using data and consumer insights to inform design decisions and create relevant ranges.
- Supporting and motivating team members, providing regular and constructive feedback.
- Sourcing fabrics across multiple territories to introduce innovation across both basics and fashion categories.
- Presenting product strategies and seasonal direction with confidence to internal teams and stakeholders.
Person Specification:
- Extensive experience in womenswear jersey design.
- Excellent trend awareness and the ability to translate trends into commercial product.
- Proven track record in creating successful fashion ranges for high street retailers.
- Effective communicator and confident presenter, able to influence internal stakeholders and management.
- Experience in fabric sourcing and innovation within the jersey category.
