We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded product and sourcing manager for a 1 yr maternity caover . on behalf of our client a well-established group company with a portfolio of globally recognised brands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product & Sourcing Manager to lead product development, sourcing, technical, and production functions across multiple globally recognised brands.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of the end-to-end product development and sourcing process, ensuring products are delivered on time, within margin targets, and to the highest quality standards.

Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading the full product development lifecycle from supplier allocation through to final shipment.
  • Managing and developing relationships with international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Creating and implementing sourcing strategies that support quality, margin, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Negotiating pricing, commercial terms, and supplier agreements to achieve the best business outcomes.
  • Overseeing product costings and margin management, ensuring profitability targets are met.
  • Monitoring production timelines and resolving sourcing, production, and quality challenges.
  • Driving continuous improvement across product development, sourcing, and production processes.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a multidisciplinary team including Product Managers, Product Developers, Garment Technologists, and support staff.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and buyers, attending meetings and providing commercial product expertise.
  • Collaborating closely with Sales, Design, and other internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Providing regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on product development progress, sourcing strategies, and commercial performance.

Person Specification

  • Extensive experience within the fashion industry, with a strong background in product development and sourcing leadership.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing product and sourcing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, product development processes, sourcing, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing costings, margins, and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience working with off-price accounts and managing complex product categories.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners would be advantageous.
