We are working with a successful fashion business who are renowned for delivering high-quality, commercially successful fashion ranges to some of the country's most prominent retailers. They are seeking an experienced Senior Menswear Designer to join their London-based design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative and commercially minded designer with strong menswear jersey expertise. Working across a diverse product portfolio including jersey, T-shirts, polo shirts, bottoms and woven shirts, you will play a pivotal role in developing trend-led collections for major retail customers. The successful candidate will combine strong trend awareness with a deep understanding of customer requirements, creating commercially relevant ranges.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing commercially successful menswear collections across multi-product.
- Researching and interpreting seasonal trends, fabrics, colours, graphics and key shapes.
- Creating customer-focused ranges tailored to the requirements of major UK retailers.
- Producing detailed CADs, technical packs and design specifications.
- Presenting concepts, seasonal direction and product ranges to internal teams and customers.
- Collaborating closely with sales, merchandising and product development teams throughout the design process.
- Maintaining awareness of competitor activity and emerging market trends.
Person Specification
- Proven experience as a Menswear Designer within a supplier, retailer or fashion business.
- Strong expertise in menswear jersey is essential.
- Strong understanding of the UK high street and supermarket retail market.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to identify and interpret key fashion trends.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
