Salary: GBP35000 – GBP40000 per annum
You will need to have an eye for trends, concepts, key shapes, colour and develop bestselling ranges with the customer profile in mind at all times. It\’s imperative to be organised and have strong CAD skills, with the ability to multi-task. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing multi-product seasonal ranges for one of our global sports & leisurewear brands, creating high-quality, on-trend garments that align with the brand\’s aesthetic and meet customer expectations.
This role requires a deep understanding of girls & ladieswear design, construction and fabrication alongside the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Creating original and commercial designs for a girls & ladieswear brand, covering the entire range consisting of multi-product categories from jersey & sweat, through to knitwear, outerwear etc.
- Ensuring collections are on-brand, trend-forward and commercially viable.
- Supporting the Head of Girlswear to ensure critical path deadlines are met from creative concept to completion.
- Sourcing, developing and selecting high-quality fabrics that meet design and production requirements.
- Producing detailed technical specifications and sketches.
- Conducting fit sessions and sample reviews with the technical team.
- Presenting collections to senior management.
- Analysing market/sales data and consumer feedback to inform design decisions.
- Constant communication and relationship building with factories, mills and in-country teams.
Person Specifications:
- Experience as âDesignerâ Level within girls or womenâs clothing.
- High work ethic, integrity and reliability with a âhands-onâ attitude.
- Excellent technical drawing and sketching skills.
- Highly proficient in CAD software (e.g. Adobe Suite).
- Good knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and production processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience of designing graphics and/or print would be a bonus.
