Overview
A fantastic opportunity has opened up with a fashion brand looking to expand their menswear team. This role will support the design department across multiple product categories, with a focus on mood and trend board research. My client is looking for someone with either brand/retailer or supplier experience; you will need to be inspiring, creative and have great attention to detail with strong communication skills, a creative eye, and a passion for learning and career growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist Designers in developing seasonal collections from concept to final product.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, fabrics, colours, and design techniques.
- Create and update technical sketches, CADs, and design boards.
- Manage the critical path and ensure deadlines are met.
- Work alongside production to ensure the expectations of the final product are met.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines and cope with heavy workloads and tight schedules.
- Provide support for product sample development, including tracking and coordinating with suppliers.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Person Specifications
- Degree in Fashion Design preferably menswear
- Some previous menswear design experience with a retailer, brand or supplier or a graduate in menswear design with some placement or work experience in a commercial company
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
