DESIGN ADMIN ASSISTANT MENSWEAR
We are seeking an ambitious Menswear Design Admin Assistant to join the Design Team for a growing fashion brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and approval of design submissions, working across multi-products and a variety of brands. This role offers someone an introduction to the industry and is an extremely exciting opportunity to learn the foundations of the design process and progress within the industry in this dynamic company.
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on individual with a positive, can-do attitude and a natural passion for clothing and product. You should have a strong eye for detail and colour, excellent time management, and thrive as a collaborative team player. Creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow are key to success in this role.
Main responsibilities:
- Supporting the Design Team on the approvals for multiple brands and multiple product categories
- Working on lab dip and strike off approvals, as well as approving bulk fabric hangers and trims
- Working closely with the design team, technical team and production team to ensure the continuous forward movement of the business and that critical path deadlines are met
- Responsible for liaising with both the factories and in-country teams and submitting comments in a timely manner
- Sample management and the overseeing of SMS samples
- Updating tech packs in Illustrator based on any changes made after SMS and sending these out to the factories
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends to provide insight and recommendations to the team
Person specifications:
- Fashion design related degree or the equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop
- Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise jobs
- Strong time management skills of not only your own workload but also within a wider team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous work experience within similar sectors in a fast-paced environment would be a bonus
