AML & Conflicts Assistant

Description

Join Trowers & Hamlins and develop a career in legal compliance as part of our Business Intake Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and an interest in risk and compliance to gain exposure to AML and conflicts processes within a leading international law firm.

The Role

This role supports the firm's client onboarding and compliance processes, ensuring AML and conflicts checks are completed accurately and efficiently.

  • Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews.
  • Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases.
  • Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.
  • Carry out conflicts searches and identify potential issues.
  • Support the wider Risk & Compliance Team with administrative and compliance-related tasks.

The Candidate

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is keen to develop within legal compliance.

  • Graduate, or someone with previous compliance experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
  • Positive, adaptable and eager to learn.
